Biology Museum Yogyakarta

Biology museum is located at Jl Sultan Agung no 22 Yogyakarta and is managed by the Biology faculty of Gadjah Mada University. It was officially opened on 20 September 1968 and opened to the public for the first time on 1 January 1970. It has 3.752 collections of dry and wet preservations, skeletons, and fossils of animals and plants. The collections are gathered from local and international communities.

Mount Merapi Museum

Mount Merapi Museum is located in Yogyakarta, precisely located on Jalan Kaliurang km 22. Mount Merapi Museum was built in 2005, was inaugurated on October 1, 2009, and opened to the public on January 1, 2010. This museum was made to tell about existing volcanoes, especially Merapi. You can observe various types of volcanoes and their eruptions in the world through the museum panels. Apart from that, you can see artifacts from the 2006 Merapi eruption in the form of motorbike wrecks, household appliances, as well as photos of the 2010 eruption, which complement the photos of various volcanic eruptions in Chile, Italy, Hawaii, USA, and so on. Sonobudoyo Museum

Sonobudoyo is a local museum in Yogyakarta and a very nice place to see the wonder of Yogyakarta from their collection. Has plenty of very valuable Prehistoric and historical goods found around Yogyakarta. Located in the northern part of the Sultan Palace yard, built by the Dutch architect Mr. Kersten in 1935 with traditional Javanese architecture. The collection inside the museum galleries are weapons, puppets both made of wood and leather, masks, statues, textiles, and the Javanese Gamelan Orchestra. Apart from being an exhibition of historical objects, this museum also regularly holds traditional performances which can be enjoyed every Tuesday-Sunday.
